Tokyo Trip - Day 7

Day 7 - Shinjuku National Garden, Shinjuku, Roppongi, Depart to Malaysia

This post is a brief combination of 2 days.

Since we couldn't visit Shinjuku National Garden on Day 6, we went to visit the next day - it was super sunny surprisingly @.@

By the way, this is my Sakura post :)

Beautiful scenery. As expected of Shinjuku National Garden :)

Many trees were bald, and the grass wasn't green, but that doesn't matter, as long as I get to see Sakura trees! xD  (I didn't intend for that to rhyme)

Sat on the puffy grass, ate some snacks, and took a selfie.

It was so sunny that I had trouble opening my eyes ><

The garden is really really huge! There are many sections of the garden that we wanted to look at, but, most of the flowers have not bloomed by then. I got lazy and ate potato chips on a bench lol.

My hands were so cold, it was hard to eat the chips. Somehow managed to take this photo lol.

What a peaceful place. I wish to go back during Spring time ><

Moving on to lunch with cousin, hello hello Tonkatsu :D

I can't remember what we did after lunch, so, I'll just get straight to dinner pictures :P

A yummy Japanese meal at an Izakaya at Roppongi.

I drank a small cup of sake but couldn't stand the taste ><

Skip to the next day; the day we depart back to Malaysia.

We took it easy, walked around Tokyo one last time, had one last Japanese meal, and went to Donki again lol.

I almost tried whale sashimi! >< I was really interested to know the taste even though I'm against whaling. Don't worry, after much thought, I didn't eat it in the end lol.

This summarises my trip to Tokyo, Japan.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to travel to Japan - my dream. Thank you mum and dad for allowing me to go even when you were so against it T.T I really enjoyed it and I wanna return someday xD

Tokyo Trip - Day 3

Day 3 - Harajuku, Omotesando, Cat Street, Shibuya

Since it was crazy crowded to walk around at Harajuku on a Sunday, we came back the next day. Monday - when everywhere is less crowded but still crowded. Because its Tokyo.

If there's one thing Takeshita Street is famous for, its definitely the Harajuku Crepes.

Look at all the choices! There's tooooooo many - we had a hard time deciding what to get. There are about 4 or more Harajuku Crepe shops at Takeshita Street, but we decided to give this one a shot because I love pink lol. Japan is also famous for their accurate plastic food!

Our crepe! I forgot what was inside; I think there were strawberries, banana, mini cheesecake, ice cream, and whipped cream :D

 I drink box drinks really often at Tokyo - because the variety is awesome! <3

The crowd is less right?!?! (compared to my previous post photos) I could breathe and cam whore lol.

After walking around Takeshita Street (again), we explored Harajuku and Omotesando.

At Omotesando, I had to stop by Kiddy Land xD

There were many floors filled with different cartoon characters and toys but I was most interested in the top floor - Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma!

Was it expensive? - Very ><

Kiddy Land is right beside Cat Street; from there you can walk to Shibuya. That's what we did.

Cat Street is filled with independent, random and interesting stores. It wasn't as busy as Harajuku - much more quieter and peaceful. Very cold too ><

So, we walked all the way to Shibuya (it wasn't a short walk) and we were hungry. I had the mood to eat Tonkatsu and it so happened that there was a Tonkatsu restaurant right before us. We went in, queued, took a sit, the food came, and it was OH SO GOOD xD

Cheese Tonkatsu! - the best I've ever tasted! It was so juicy, tender, succulent and delicious. Such an enjoyable meal <3

Okay, I loved it so much that I took a photo of the store, Tonkatsu Wako at Shibuya. I can't remember where exactly, but I know that its nearby the train station.

Now, moving on to Shibuya!

It was really gloomy when we arrived at Shibuya. Thank goodness it didn't rain then! But it was really cold ><

The famous crossing - you can get lost. Really.

Tip: To catch a good view of the famous Shibuya crossing, head to Starbucks at Tsutaya.

You can see girls wearing shorts, thin jackets and no stockings at all. Wondering is it cold? - Yes it was really cold ><

We walked around, explored Shibuya and ordered dinner through a vending machine. Its much more cheaper than your usual restaurant - and the food's not bad :D

We came across quite a few interesting stores at Shibuya. This was at random but we found an underground Mandarake - so much anime! <3

It rained for quite a bit at night - it was getting really chilly. So, we headed home early and rested for the night.

Tokyo Trip - Day 2

Day 2 - Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Takeshita Street, Yoyogi Park, Roppongi 

On our second day at Tokyo, we spent nearly our entire day at Harajuku. It was a Sunday and it was SUPER SUPER CROWDED. We were hoping to see some crazy cos-play or something but unfortunately, we didn't :(

First stop, Meiji Shrine.

Meiji Shrine was a really, really big area. Do expect a lot of walking and foreigners! Also, you have to wash your hands and mouth before entering the place but we skipped that lol. We were lucky to have also experienced a traditional Japanese wedding that took place at Meiji Shrine :)

After the shrine, we met up with cousin at Harajuku for awesome Ramen, at Kyushu Jangara :D

The soup was so rich, thick and creamy! And the meat, oh, the meat, was so succulent xD Go there early to avoid the long queue! =O

After lunch, it was all about Takeshita Street.

To me, it looked like a nicer China Town or Petaling Street. But the amount of people - YOU JUST CAN'T COMPARE.

WHERE DO ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?!?! I was so shocked because I've never seen so many people in just one street. Walking to the end of the street was already a mission lol.

There were many interesting shops along Takeshita Street. I wanted to look at them all but I got lazy because the crowd was absurd. It was difficult enough just to cross to the other side, but we manage to pull through lol.

While walking, I saw a Liz Lisa store and had to go in! xD

Everything was so cute in Liz Lisa!!! The workers there are really pretty and dolly too. And I've checked that, almost every item in Liz Lisa costs a minimum of 5,000 YEN.

Okay, so we made it out of Takeshita Street without getting lost lol. We didn't really enjoy walking there since it was so crowded - we went back the next day.

Now, tea time at Godiva :D

There isn't a single Godiva cafe in Malaysia so we decided to give it a try. Cousin ordered Matcha White Chocolate Ice Blended for us and it was the best! xD

Also, I realised that the international brands such as H&M, Forever 21, Zara and Bershka have a minimum of 6 storeys high. Some even go up to 8 levels of clothing - fashion level beyond lol.

Surprisingly, it wasn't so cold on that day. It was fine to remove my winter coat at some point, but it gets really cold as the sun sets ><

Moving on to Yoyogi Park!

The park was really cold >< And there were many people strolling around - it was a very peaceful and relaxing time there :) Though I wished it wasn't so cold and there would be more flowers lol.

We had a rather interesting dinner; Luda's Bar - Dragon Quest at Roppongi.

I thought it was a cool experience even though I'm not a fan of Dragon Quest. I wasn't really fond of the idea that we had to stand and eat though =/ And the food was just alright. Would be cool for Dragon Quest lovers; since it would be relatable. 

After dinner, me and bro shopped at Donki for a while before we headed home. I LOVE DONKI. ITS THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP FOR EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. Plus its not very expensive and they have a lot of cool and random things there lol.
