Skin Care Routine

Hey there :)

I know I keep saying I'll be going back to Australia soon but I feel like I'm not ready to go back >< And my flight is tomorrow @.@

I guess this shall be my last post in Malaysia then.

In this post, I'm gonna show you my Skin Care Routine :)

These are the steps for my Skin Care Routine;

1) Wash face with cleanser

2) Dry face with tissue (towel dry is rough for my skin)

3) Spritz toner onto face

4) Apply moisturiser

5) Apply Sun Block/Sun Screen onto face (day time)

6) Apply medicine onto acnes/blemishes (night time)

7) Apply eye cream/gel/serum below the eyes

8) Apply lip balm

9) Apply hand cream

And I'm set for the day and night xD

Usually I wear hand cream at night before I go to bed. But I do wear hand cream during the day time as well. Depends on my mood lol.

Here are pictures of the products that I use :)

#1 Derma Safe Gentle Cleanser

Due to my skin condition of acne, pimples and scars, I have sensitive skin plus oily and dry combination skin. I've tried many cleansers and brands before but many do not work for me. This cleanser that I'm currently using really helps me. I know this because I can really see and feel the difference on my skin. I've been using this product since January until now. This product may work differently on each person but so far its good for me.

I have more information about this product and my skin condition in a previous post here.

#2 Nu Skin NAPCA Moisture Mist

This product is a mist product not a toner. Despite that, I use it as my toner because I didn't bring back my toner from Australia to Malaysia lol.

Well, not only because I forgot to bring back my toner. This moisture mist is very refreshing and I like the fact that its a spray type. Save on using cotton as well hehe.

#3 Clinique Moisture Surge

This product is not exactly a moisturiser. Its purpose is a hydrator. That's what the sale's lady told me lol. Anyway, I really really like this product as it is gel type. It doesn't make my face sticky at all and the texture is really smooth as well. It has a light and refreshing scent :)

#4 Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Jelly SPF 30 PA+++

This is another product that I absolutely love! This sun block is gel based and becomes slightly watery when applied onto skin. It is not sticky at all and the texture is rich and smooth. It can be applied on your face and body.

I'm quite choosy when it comes to choosing the right sun block because some of them have a very strong chlorine-like scent and they're very sticky. Those types are okay when you're going to a beach to get all wet and sandy. But not for an everyday basis in my opinion.

I have been using Boire's sun block for many years. I'm a loyal customer :)

This product can be found in Watsons and Guardian Pharmacy. I'm not sure about Caring Pharmacy though. The normal price is RM32.90.

By the way, it is important to apply sun block everyday even when its raining, cloudy or snowing :)

#5 Clinique All About Eyes Serum

This product came free when my mum bought the Clinique moisturiser from the airport at Taiwan lol. Its so cute and small because its the traveling size packaging.

I have eye bags and dark eye circles for as long as I could remember. From sleeping late I guess lol.
I have to try to sleep earlier ><

I have been using this product for about 2 months and the result is not very obvious. For example, if I apply this before I go to bed, my eye bags and dark eye circles will appear smaller and less obvious the next day. But it won't be gone completely. So at the moment, I'm just using it until it finishes lol.

#6 Nivea Chamomile & Calendula Lip Balm

Nivea is the best brand when it comes to lip balm. Why? Because it stays on the longest. I've  tried several brands in the past but when my sister introduced Nivea lip balms to me, I became a loyal customer xD

I use the natural/original lip balm at night time whereas I use the Cherry or Strawberry lip balm during the day. My lips are moisturised when I wake up in the morning even though I sleep with air conditioner. That's why I really love em' xD

Another thing is that, Nivea lip balms last for a long time xD Especially this one (above). I've been using this since last year and it hasn't finished lol.

For the Strawberry and Cherry lip balm, I shall review it in another post :)

#7 Nivea Hand Nourishing Cream

I've been using this hand cream for a while now and its alright. Its very creamy and has a slight strong scent. This product should be used in small amount because it can get quite sticky.

Well, that's all for my skin care products. If I have more, I will post them in upcoming posts xD

And......

This is my skin complexion now. I promise that I did not edit any pimples, scars, acne, marks and whatsoever. All I did was just add a filter. I think it has improved? Lol.

Oh. I went to get a mani and pedi treatment at Nails Magic, USJ10 a.k.a Taipan. I purchased a groupon voucher to get mani, pedi and treatment for RM38. Happy xD

Clean nude colour for the fingernails
Pink for the toes

Besides that, last Wednesday, 20th February, I teamed up with koibito's friend to throw him a surprise early birthday and farewell.

The plan was, a friend and I will take him to Sunway Pyramid to distract him till dinner time. And some other friends will book a table for 10 at Sushi Zanmai and wait for us there. When I received the call that everything was ready to go, I told koibito, "I'm very hungry now. Let's eat at Sushi Zanmai.". And so we went lol.

Usually you have to queue before you can get a table at Sushi Zanmai but this time I walked in immediately. Koibito was confused and blur to what was going on but I remained silent lol.

When I found the table of friends, they said "SURPRISE!". The look on koibito's face was priceless xD Hehehe.

I'm glad the surprise went well and credit to his friends as well :)

We went to mamak after that. I was so sleepy and tired so I went home earlier lol. Had to get away from all that shisha and cigarettes too ><

Okay that's all for now. Thank you for reading :)

TTFN!

Make Up Haul

こんにちわみんなさん!

Its been a while since I last practiced Japanese. I somehow spoke it more in Australia lol.

Speaking of Australia, I'm going back real soon! >< Time passes by so fast. And then its back to studying T.T

But I guess I appreciate studying more since I'm gonna graduate soon. The working world is scary ><

Back to main topic lol.

Lately, I've been buying more make up then I usually do. Not sure why cause usually I couldn't be bothered lol. Perhaps I've been influenced by my sister and girlfriends. Or perhaps its a growing up process of a girl? @.@

I'm quite into lipsticks, eye shadow and eyebrow liners at the moment. Since I've dyed my hair, using black or grey eyebrow liner will stand out too much. So I'm using brown eyebrow liners now. I didn't take photos of it yet but I shall review it....soon? xD

Most of them are Korean products. They seem to be booming all over Malaysia lol. But some of them are quite pricy. How sad ><

These are the products that I've bought over time since I returned from Australia. I didn't buy them all in one shot. Broke girl T.T

Okay not most of them are Korean products lol. But most of my eyebrow liners are korean products. If that counts xD

#1 Colour Combos - FlexiCurl Mascara

This mascara is from a Korean brand (if I'm not mistaken) called Colour Combos. But I guess this one is 'made in Germany' lol. I got it at Sasa for RM15 on sale. The normal price is RM33.90.

The reason I bought this mascara was because of the brush. And for it being quite cheap xD

I've tried finding mascaras with a double sided brush but its either too expensive or just plain difficult to find -.-  At least for me lol.

I usually do not prefer using water proof mascara because it takes a longer time to remove lol. But I guess waterproof mascara has its pros and cons.

I have not tried out this mascara yet, but when I do, I'll let you know how it is :D

Right now, the current mascara I'm using is by Clinique. A non waterproof mascara. Its very easy to remove and that's why I like it xD

That's the brush! xD

#2 Lady - Holic Lipstick

I got this lipstick at It's Skin at Sunway Pyramid. I got it for RM19 as it is a sale item. Not sure how much is the original price. I thought the colour and packaging is cute xD

Looks a lil like a Rose Pink. I think lol.

The lipstick texture is alright. My lips feels moist when I applied this lipstick. I think that's good?  Lol. Its not sticky and dry which is just perfect for me xD

#3 Maybelline Lipstick in Red Porcelain

I literally got this lipstick for Chinese New Year lol. I can't recall how much it was. Perhaps around RM23. Can be found in Watsons and other pharmacies.

Sexy red! xD I still feel weird and insecure to wear such bright red lipstick to go out ><

The texture is similar to what I wrote above. Its very very red on my lips. Or maybe I'm just not used to it ><

#4 Essence - Kajal Pencil in White

I'm not sure why I bought this pencil actually. I know that my sister has one lol. I've seen several make up techniques using this similar type of pencil or eye shadow to highlight the eye area. Makes the eyes look brighter and bigger somehow lol. I was curious about it and decided to get this pencil. I'm not very good in using it but practice makes perfect! xD

I think it cost me about RM8. I bought this a few months ago so, sorry that I can't remember the price! >< I'm confident that it is below RM12 lol.

That's the tip. Looks like a colour pencil xD

#5 Elite Paris - Matt Liner

I got it at Watsons for RM19 on promotion. The previous eyeliner I was using was a pencil type. I didn't really like it because it smudged easily and its difficult to remove. Not only that, it smears around my eye area making me have panda eyes -.-

I'm not sure if its just that particular eyeliner pencil that I used or if all eyeliner pencils are like that too @.@

I like this liquid eyeliner because of its pointy and fine tip. It is easier to apply and the pointy tip makes it more accurate to draw/apply. It does not smudge easily and leave smears all over my eye area as well. I can't recall if its waterproof or not ><

#6 Lady-Holic Crystal Powder

Okay this is the one thing I bought because of how shiny it is lol. I was in the shop with koibito and at that time, I was busy looking at lipsticks. Suddenly I saw koibito playing with this crystal powder and he had glitter all over his hands. He said "My hands are pretty now." LOL.

I guess I can say, if it wasn't for him, I would not have bought this item xD

I believe this crystal powder can be applied on the eye area and cheeks.

What is it actually? Well, it's just some super glittery powder xD

I got it at It's Skin, Sunway Pyramid for RM16 on sale.

Can you see how glittery and shiny it is? xD

This is how they look like on my hand. Oh I can see my fuzz xD

#7 Barbie Holic Gloss in Barbie Pink

This lip gloss is from Taipei, Taiwan. I bought it in Watsons when I went there for a holiday in November 2012. I don't think you can find much Barbie beauty products in Malaysia lol.

The colour is so cute! xD Because it is Barbie's signature colour lol. The texture of this lip gloss is really sticky. It lasts quite long on my lips when I applied it. Except if you drink and eat. My sister told me before that. the stickier the lip gloss, the longer it lasts. I think its true lol.

I bought this lip gloss for RM7 on sale.

Brush Type lip gloss

#8 Silky Girl Compact Powder

It has been ages since I last wore compact powder or concealer on my face due to my pimples and acne condition T.T

But now that the condition is improving, I guess its okay to wear it once in a while? Lol.

I bought this compact powder at Watsons (again) at the price of RM14.50 for 2. Quite a good deal eh? xD

The packaging interior
I'm not a make up freak (at least not like my sister hehe), but I guess my interest and passion for make up grew slightly. Or a lot xD

I guess this sums up my Make Up haul this round lol. I hope my description has been useful and helpful to you ><

Thank you for reading! TTFN!

Hair

Hey there!

I know I said I would update about my latest hair cut and this is it! xD

Okay.. I don't think this picture shows it properly. More like a teaser lol.

This is my hair before cutting. Quite long actually ><

Behind view.

I've rebonded my hair in 2011 and it has lasted till now. So my hair is really slippery and straight. But its too straight and heavy till my hair gets pulled down and makes my hair look flat. It wasn't layered as well which adds the extra weight.

It such a pain during winter lol.

Besides that, I've dyed my hair as well xD

I've decided to try Beauty Labo Shake and Scoop in Milky Beige. Its really easy to do plus I'm happy that the colour managed to appear on my dark hair lol.

I tried hair mousse dyes before in Melbourne and it did not work at all. The brands I tried before were Loreal and Schwakopf. Not only that, I bought blonde hair dye and it did not work -.-

I trust Japanese brands more lol.

I used 2 bottles of this product for my long hair and then only cut it short.

What you must know about this product ;

1) It is a DYI hair dye

2) It had a very very strong chemical smell when I applied it to my hair

I'm not sure what chemical was that but it had a super strong release and it made me hard to breathe.

Other than that, it was prescribed to leave the dye on your hair for 30 minutes but I left mine on for about an hour. I know I shouldn't have but I was worried the colour would not appear after such a short time ><

This is my hair colour under light. Not sunlight. It will be brighter under sunlight lol.

So what I can say about it is that;

1) I know it definitely works (I was quite skeptical that it wouldn't)

2) It is damaging to your hair no matter what

3) It may cause dry hair and itchy scalp

4) Hair loss may occur

I've been advised to stop dying my hair and I will stop. Though I've always wanted to try dip dye with pastel and wild colours T.T

I also realised that my hair has been thinning. Not to mention that I have oily scalp plus dandruff. Because of that, I will have to really stop dying and other unnecessary treatments. Have to take care! ><

This is a better picture of my hair I guess lol. The colour isn't very obvious in the picture though.

Enough of hair.

Here are some yummy thai food that me and koibito had on Valentine's day xD

Fried Sotong (Squid)

Seafood Tom Yam Soup

Bangkok Style Omelet
Thai Coconut Juice
All of them are so delicious. I have to go back once again before I return to Melbourne! ><

The restaurant is called Phad Thai at Taipan USJ. I hope I spelled it right lol.

That's all for now. Till then, TTFN!
