September 2013 Haul

Hey Hey!

This is yet another haul for the month of September :)

Recently, I've been into face care products and face masks. I have my sister to thank/blame. Lol.

And right now, Sasa is having a lot of sales going on. I bought a lot ><

These are the body lotions that I'm using currently. Since I came back to Malaysia, I've been paranoid with the sun (I didn't have much worries in Melbourne's winter), therefore I told myself I needed to get a lotion with sun protection. And since the Nivea UV Whitening Serum came out not too long ago, I thought I'd give it a try.

I like the texture as it is gel based. I really dislike lotions that are too creamy. Also, the scent it light and decent. Not too sun block-ish. I know that its a whitening product but I'm not too concerned about that.

The next lotion (on the right), is the Enchanteur Body Lotion in Beautiful. I've never tried this lotion before this. It is also a gel based lotion and yes I love that. Besides that, it is also a perfume body lotion. I smell so good every time xD But sometimes the scent can become suffocating ><

Me and my sister bought a new watch as well. The exact same watch lol.

By the way, here's my accessories collection hehe.

I've been told it looks like a shop lol.

Moving on to face masks now.

I must say, face masks packaging are becoming cuter and cuter! They make buy them for the wrong reasons! ><

These are the new face masks that I bought. I had a few more but I've worn them already.

My Beauty Diary Honey Strawberry Mask (left), and Strawberry Milk Mask (right). Current promotion is buy one, second mask 50% off, at Guardian Pharmacy.

My Scheming; Deep Sea Water + Ice Age Water Extract Moisturizing Silk Mask

I fell in love with the packaging at first sight lol. Got it from Watsons for RM6.90.

Watsons promotion; buy one, 50% of the next mask. Good deal eh? ;)

Beauty Mate - Anti Blemish Repairing Mask at 2 for RM 8.90, at Guardian Pharmacy. I look forward to try this face mask. The sales girl recommended this to me as I have a lot of blemishes. She told me many customers come back just for this lol. I hope she's right.

This, on the other hand is an eye mask. What I can say about this eye mask is that, its not your typical eye mask. It has a gel coat on it which allows it to stick to your skin (not in a harsh way). It is very soft and jelly-like. I've only tried it once and I'm not sure if I see any difference ><

This is my first product from ZA, Future Defense Wrinkle Minimizer. I got it at a very cheap price; RM13 from Guardian (I think they're having sale now). I've yet to try it out once my current eye roll finishes :)

Skinlite Cooling Cucumber Pads from Sasa at RM 8.90. I bought this product before many years ago. I didn't think I'd buy it again. But now as I grow older, I realise that my eyes are beginning to have tiny wrinkles, eye bags and dark eye circles. So, taking early precaution will prevent future aging :) You can put the cucumber pads on your face as well.

Loreal Hydra Fresh Aqua Essence 50ML from Sasa at RM 14.80. This is my first Loreal product! I really like get based products and its so happened that this is a gel based essence. Hehe. I have not tried it yet but I look forward to it :)

Another product that I have started using (not shown in the picture above); is the Hadanomy Collagen Lotion, from Sasa at RM23.90 (half price).

I started using this product a few weeks ago and I like it :) This product is not a typical lotion. It has a jelly/gel texture and it is very easy to apply! It spreads very easily and 2 drops are more than enough for your entire face. My face feels very hydrated and supple after applying. The best thing is that, I do not get any break outs from it :) Awesome! :D I would like to get the whole set but its too expensive :( So I'll just stick with this for now.

And another product I bought from Sasa is the Grape Anti Aging Hand Cream, for RM6.90.

After using it a few times, I can say that, I regret buying this. The scent doesn't seem that nice after a while and the texture is awful. After I apply on my hands, my hands feel oily. And when its finally absorbed, my hands feel very dry. I don't know if I'm making any sense here but yes, this is one item I regret buying :(

Lastly, this is my favourite product of the moment.

The Konjac Face Sponge from Sasa, at RM6.45 (half price). It comes in several types; Charcoal, Tomato, Aloe Vera, Rose and Cucumber.

I've tried the Charcoal Sponge for the first time and I love it! I came back to buy 3 more (shown below) lol.

From left to right; Charcoal Sponge, Tomato Sponge, Cucumber Sponge

It has a string that allows you to hang after using. I find it so convenient hehe.

So how do you use it? What I do is that, I wash my face with my cleanser, and while the cleanser is still on your face, take the sponge (wash is with water first), and start scrubbing with circular motion. It has a very soft and gentle feel and that's why I love it. It's not harsh like some sponges I know. My face feels very soft and smooth after scrubbing.  Its gentle enough for you to use it everyday :)

Also, did you know that Daiso has a Hello Kitty Section? :D

I couldn't resist. I had to get this xD

Ma Cherie Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner by Shiseido for RM12.88, at Guardian Pharmacy.

This was something I wanted to try so badly. It was released in Malaysia not too long ago. And I know it was out in Singapore for a long time already T^T

I bought the travelling size pack because the rest are just too expensive! >< But I enjoy using this product :) My hair smells like Guava and fruits. Ahh. Nice. Hehe.

My haul has come to an end now. I hope you enjoy reading this post :)

Don't mind me. I was testing different types of stamps on my photos. Lol.

Till then! TTFN.

Poupee Girl

Hey there!

Today's post will be about Poupee Girl - an online Japanese, fashion, dressing up game :)

I was introduced to this when I was about 15 years old. I was so addicted and hard working back then to earn ribbons (ribbons = money in the game). I had many beautiful clothing and treasures but 3 of my accounts were shut down :( Will explain a bit more during the post.

What do I like about it? - The fact that its a Japanese game already gets me excited lol. Also, I love the level of detail in the graphics. The fashion is really lovely too :)

It looks like a child's game but hey, I was a child back then ;)

So why am I talking about it now? I just thought of introducing something different to you :) Who knows you might enjoy it xD

This is my Poupee Girl. And this is how the homepage looks like.

As I mentioned above, Ribbons are money in the game. Suteki on the other hand means likes. As in Facebook like.

My closet is the image library of the fashionable items you posted. Eg; clothes, make up, hand bags, etc. This is a quick way to earn Ribbons.

To post photos, click the post photos tab and you should come to a page like this;

After you have selected the image that you want to post, fill in the information located on the right, then click done at the bottom of the page.

Now that you have posted an item, you will receive Ribbons. And also, a mystery item!

For posting images, you can post up to 10 images per day and they won't give you anymore Ribbons after that. But I recommend you to post up to 5 images per day. This is because, the more you post, the less Ribbons they give you each time. For the first two images, they will give you more Ribbons but after that, it decreases.

IMPORTANT! You need to really really follow the rules and regulations when you are posting an item. If not, the consequences are heavy :( This was what I meant when I stated earlier.

They will give you a list of things that you can and can't post. If you did not follow the instructions, they have the authority to take your Ribbons, your clothes/accessories and even ban your account. 3 of my previous accounts were banned. BANNED! All my hard effort gone down the drain. I was so so sad. So, PLEASE be careful when posting images. Follow the instructions carefully.

Another way to earn Ribbons besides posting images is to comment on your Poupee friend's items. Each comment gives you 2 Ribbons. It is a slower way but if you're desperate, I don't see why not. Lol. Or another alternative would be to buy Ribbons with your real money.

Okay, now for the wardrobe.

So this is my wardrobe for my Poupee Girl. I can dress her up any way that I like. Each day when you dress up your Poupee girl, you get 10 Ribbons. You can also show off your Poupee in your blog (like how I did on the right) or share it on Facebook and Twitter. But this won't earn you any Ribbons.

The SELL button means that you can sell any item that you want. You can even select the price for it.

Guess what, Poupee girl even has their own town! It is the Community tab.

As you can see, there are quite a lot of things going on in the town but I'm only gonna mention a few. To start off, the Shell Spring is a fountain where you throw in 5 shells and get a random item for free. Before that, make sure you have enough shells to do this. You can get shells when you share the image of your Poupee girl on Facebook and Twitter or by visiting your Poupee friends.

The Poupee Market is a market place where other Poupee girls sell their items. It looks like this;

The items sold are a set price therefore you can't bargain.

The Celebrity Shop is a shop selling clothes and merchandise for your Poupee. It is called Celebrity shop because they were designed by real life Celebrities. The items are mainly sold in Jewels (real cash). I could never afford to buy any because I didn't purchase Jewels T^T And I'm so jealous because the items are much more nicer than Ribbons purchased items.

Moving on, the Beauty Poupee is the place for your Poupee to get surgery. There, she can change her mouth, eyes, etc. To change the hairstyle of your Poupee, that has to be done in your wardrobe. You can buy many cute hairstyles with Ribbons. Not to mention the hair colour as well.

Next, is the Katherine Shop. Katherine is somewhat the icon of Poupee Girl. She has her own shop and you can buy lovely items there. There's the Jewel area and the Ribbons area.

An example of the Ribbons area. This is under the Girly and Sweet items.

What's cool is that, you can try them on your Poupee first to see if you like it. They did't have this feature a few years back and it cost a lot of regret for me lol. You can zoom in to the see the clothing further and boy, the detail of the graphics are sooooooo detailed. I love it!

I have come to an end explaining Poupee Girl. If you're bored, you could always give it a try xD

I hope this has been a helpful post. Thank you for reading!

TTFN!

Chez Dre

Hello dearies!

This is a throwback post about one of the cafes I visited in Melbourne last month.

I guess I can say - I miss Melbourne in some ways :(

During the first year when I was there, I didn't enjoy Melbourne. I was so lonely and very very homesick. I didn't know many people and was always by myself. Sad isn't it? ><

But this year I'm so thankful that I made so many new friends at uni and at church. Plus, a few of my Malaysian friends came over to study this year. More friends wee! xD

Anyway, back to topic. My cell group leader took me and a friend out on a eating spree and we went to this cafe called Chez Dre located in South Melbourne.

The name card of the cafe.

We had tea and cakes there and they were awesome! :) They were pricy of course (when you convert).

I really enjoy desserts in Melbourne because they're really tasty and enjoyable. Not to mention the quality of the cake - yum!

They look amazing don't they? xD I was impressed. Hehe.

We chit chat while eating our cakes and before I went home, I just had to get Macarons :)

I even wrote down the flavours lol.

I was sick during that time (cough and phelgm) but I couldn't resist. Lol.

But after this, I really appreciate Malaysia's price. Lol. One Macaron could cost around RM3-4. In Melbourne, its $3-4 @.@ I paid $4 each for this Macarons ><

This is a short post so I guess it ends here.

Thank you for reading!

Miley Cyrus?

- This post is purely based on my thoughts and opinions.
- This was posted on my free will and only on Colourmysun blog.

Miley Cyrus.

She has been a hot topic for a few weeks now; from her We Can't Stop Video, VMA performance, and now Wrecking Ball.

Source: Google Images

Okay. I must say her drastic change in We Can't Stop was really shocking (at least for me). I was thinking to myself; I didn't know she sang songs like this (it was meant for Rihanna). At first, I didn't quite like it because I wasn't used to it. She started wearing minimal clothes she didn't wear in her videos before (or did she?) and revealing much? I was shocked and wondered why she went in that direction/approach. She's the same age as me and boy I thought she's wild!

When I first listened to We Can't Stop, I thought it wasn't really my taste. Not my genre and not my type of song. Plus its Miley Cyrus (didn't think she could sing like that). But after listening to it for a few more times, it grew on me. And yes I like it.

The music video was really different as well. I was so used to seeing the sweet/girly side of her and now its the opposite! I'm not saying she's boyish or manly but the fact that she's going all out. Her style has totally changed and, I think she's cooler this way. Her hair is outrageous but cool lol.

I don't know any of my friends who would cut their hair like Miley. Do you even have the guts?  I sure don't. What I'm saying is that, Miley is not afraid of showing what its like to be 'YOLO' (you only live once), in her own way of course.

Think about it. There are a lot of songs about the end of the world and that we should party till then. But nobody is really taking that next step. I think Miley did.

Why are so many people dissing and slamming her? I'm not taking her side nor am I her huge fan or so forth. But I think the society is really mean. She can really do whatever she wants, same goes for dressing and etc.

Okay, so she wore a cropped singlet and underwear in Wrecking Ball. Not to mention, naked as well.

So?

Lady Gaga wore lingerie/underwear in many of her videos but no one dissed/slammed her now did they?

Katy Perry was also naked (on a cloud) in California Gurls. I don't see anyone hatin' that.

I was listening to the radio a few days ago and the VJs were asking people what they thought of Wrecking Ball. Many said that they liked the song but didn't enjoy the video. The reason could be perhaps, like I said, she was naked in the video. Showing a lot of bare skin makes a lot of people uncomfortable eh? I totally understand that part.

My eyes bulged out when I saw her naked on the wrecking ball. I was like what?!?!? That felt really unnecessary. It didn't seem to have any connection to the song at all. But who knows maybe it does have a connection? Perhaps in an artistic view.

Reading the lyrics helped me understand it better. Its obvious this song is about her broken heart. She expresses her sadness in an artistic way which I thought was something exciting and fresh. I like her video!

Why do people have to be so mean? Stop calling her a slut, whore, stripper, ugly, and other terrible things you would say. She doesn't deserve it.

I don't know if she does drugs or so forth but that's none of my business. That's her life.

Nobody is perfect so stop judging others. Who are we to point out the imperfections of other people?

The post has come to and end now. I do not mean for it to be aggressive in any way but I think we really need to look at ourselves first before others.

Thank you for reading!
